Jane Languedoc

Jane is an Ottawa area artist who has been creative her whole life. Jane was educated in Canada and England and has now settled in Carleton Place Ontario. In the last 7 years she has decided to take up painting full time and is educating herself. There are wonderful courses available online and in person, she has taken classes with local artists, such as Adrian Baker, and done many online programs. Jane has also traveled Europe to visit galleries and taking
more courses to further her education.

Jane is a member of Arts Carleton Place, West Carleton Arts Society, The East Central Ontario Art Association and Rideau Lakes Artists' Association. Jane started to market online with Etsy four years ago and now has her own website where her art is available to purchase. Jane attended her first local art show, Itty Bitty Art Show 2022, and has had her art shown in local businesses, where she has been successful. In 2024 she plans to start marketing her work more intensely and participating in more local art shows. The season started with the Carleton Place Fine Art Show, The Art in the Park show in Ottawa and the Sweetly Affordable show in Ottawa.

As an emerging artist she is doing a lot of research on how to further grow her skills in a way that will help communicate her vision of the beauty in our world and she is learning every day. Jane’s goal is to portray our deep connections to the beauty that surrounds us and help us appreciate nature and therefore to become more active in preserving this gift.
