"I am an abstract artist from Kingston, Ontario, working in acrylic. I love to work with texture and layers, as I want there to be an interplay between what is visible on the surface, and the layers beneath. I achieve texture using a large pallet knife, and texture medium, and pressing paint onto the surface with parchment paper . I rarely use brushes, preferring to apply the paint with a rag, my hands or a pallet knife. I also use collage  and image transfers in my mixed media
pieces. Many of my pieces also have a  visible horizon line, making them more relatable to an abstract landscape."
