Aileen Merriam
My love of watercolour began in the 1950s when drawing, scientific illustration and watercolour added spice to studies in botany and conservation.
For many years painting was just a recreational activity during vacations or trips to many parts of Canada and the world, where I was able to sketch many different landscapes. Although watercolour is still important to me, now I also have fun with acrylics, painting on silk and glass and working with stoneware clay.
I hope others will enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
