The Frontenac Arch Biosphere (FAB) means the world to me. It is my home place and my muse. I am privileged and proud to live in this very special, world-renowned area.

In creating my art, whether using a camera or paint brush, I try to make images that I find appealing and that I hope will kindle the viewer's interest in my subject matter, provoke the viewer's imagination or memory, and permit them to see places and things the way I see them. Painting, and photography are, for me, wonderful ways of telling stories without using words. I create fine art, folk art, and photographic; images the truth is, each of these art forms facinate me as each are unique and wonderful, challenging and rewarding, and I love them all. In my folk art I try to find items with history, on which I paint images and designs that I feel make these items even more interesting. Some of my folk art employs stroke work or Pennsylvania Dutch Fraktur, both of which I think are beautiful and are a part of my heritage. I also do reverse glass painting, an almost lost art that I find perfect for certain subjects. In my fine art  and photography  I create images of things and places I love  as viewed from my perspective or things most people don't pay much attention to that I think have artistic merit.

I am always interested in learning new techniques. I do workshops with artists whose work I respect, working in watercolour, acrylic or photography, and take this knowledge and use it and adapt it to assist me in developing my own unique artists' voice.

Some of my fine art hangs at Gallery VAGA, 95 King Street East , Gananoque. The Gallery is located on the south side of King Street East near the corner of Stone Street.

My folk art will be available at Wendy's Country Market this year. Wendy's is a member of FAB's Local Flavours. More information on Wendy's can be found, at:

I hope you will plan to come and see my art work at the 2016  Art in the Barn Show and Sale at the Lombardy Agricultural Fairgrounds (5km. south of Smiths Falls on Hwy.#15),  where I will again be showing my fine art as well as some of my folk art.

I belong to Brockville Area Photo Club and examples of my, and other members'  images, may be viewed at:
